Lesions of the frontal and temporal lobe lead more often to sexual problems than lesions of the parieto-occipital part of the brain (De Morsier & Gronek 1972). Bilateral lesions of the anterior temporal regions may result in hypersexuality as in the Klüver-Bucy syndrome (Gerstenbrand & Lücking 1971, Oliveira et al 1989, Hayman et al 1998).
